Sail Around Sidney Island
I went for a great sail around Sidney Island on Sunday. The wind was dying off all morning but there was enough th get me around. Once I rounded the bottom of Sidney Island, the northerly that was blowing was closer to the 15kn range coming down Haro Strait, which made for a good workout as I beat northward.
I really enjoyed this trip as it was another day and a few more miles under my belt that I was able to learn some more about my boat and how she likes to sail. My goal for this year is pretty lofty as I want to get 1000nm done. It is going to take a lot of work to achieve that but I really need to do it. This means some trips to Vancouver, White Rock, some runs to Nanaimo and a bunch of running around here.
Check out the photos and the little video I made :)
And a little video

Gotta do more of these trips…
