Happy Canada Day! Another year has passed in the greatest country in the world. Taxes are going down 1%, Summer is in full swing, Jobs are good and plentiful and life overall is liveable…

So we watched Cars last night. It was really awesome. I think Pixar has not lost any strength since joining Disney. The graphics were awesome and realistic and the voice choices were suited to their respective roles. I really enjoyed this movie.

We also watched Troy on the weekend, which was stunning, and really gave me a new perspective (as much as a movie can) on the life & times of Achilles… Very cool.

My Beautiful wife has made graphics for me, and now they are live. Do you like the pirate theme? I have been trying to get my site to feel like this for a while now and am glad to see it taking shape. I am going to play with the layout a bit (like, make it wider) but for the most part this is how I want my website to be. I am glad I have finally achieved the design I envisioned…

It’s Monday Morning, and all I can think about is retiring in T & C to a boat in a harbor and going back to woodworking etc. I can eek out a living and soak in the sun and drink at the local bar and not feel the pressures of the rat race anymore. I suppose its this beach and that lifestyle that gives me the goal which I wake and work everyday to achieve.

Some have said its unrealistic for me to think I am going to do this in 4 years, but to them I say Pfffttt. There is no reason to pursue the traditional lifestyles which our parents pursued, as there are no pensions, companies we can get a career from, etc. Its all about taking care of Number 1 now. Find a way to make your money, and set yourself up for retirement. I say it starts at 35.

I have tried today to type, but alas, its too hot and uncomfortable to sit in the heat and work… I need a data center to hang out in where the A/C blows cool and smooth and there are no sweat stains on the chairs…
